Hi everyone,

Have I Been Pwned notified me that my credentials appeared in malware stealer logs for ggmania.com.

This does not necessarily mean that GGMania was breached, but it does mean that login credentials for the site may have been captured by malware at some point.

I recommend that users change their GGMania password, especially if they reuse it elsewhere, and check their devices for malware.

A long time ago (more than 10 years ago?), someone actually hacked the forum passwords and leaked them, but that was really a long time ago. Right now, I don’t have any reason to believe that the forum has been hacked. And even if they had, aside from the fact that someone could post a message and have their email and password there, there’s nothing here that could be stolen or misused… where there’s anything important, everyone has MFA enabled anyway. And of course, I would never use the same password for the forum as I do for any site where payments are made or sensitive data is stored.
