Windows 11 users are increasingly frustrated as Microsoft continues to expand requirements for a Microsoft account across more parts of the operating system. Workarounds that once made it easy to use a local account are becoming more difficult or are being removed entirely. This has turned into one of

its simple.
Micro$oft make a local user version of windows or we all move to linux.
Simple as that.
Look at the handheld wards. There is a steamOC version for a few of them now and its popular.
Whats the best handheld on the market? SteamDeck. Why? LINUX. (SteamOS)
Its not windows thats why people love it. No spywhere on it.
Well just steam but its nowhere near as bad as M$ are.
So keep pushing M$ and we will keep pushing harder. if you push to far we move to linux. So keep going and we leave. Simple as that.
I want LESS cloud and more local and more privacy. If I cant patch it in then I stop using that app. Easy as that. There is always a 3rd party app that does it for free or cheaper and faster with more. privacy.
There is a script to remove AI and add privacy, Ive used that and I'll keep doing it with each big update to make sure M$ dont spy on me |

You can still create a local user setup, though you may have to find a Tiny11 installer or better yet make yourself one, there are instructions out there for how to just plain remove a lot of the nastiness before even installing.
Also, if you do a Windows 10 install from scratch (ideally with a Tiny10 iso...) and install a local only setup, and then upgrade to 11, Microsoft will not force an account on you at least not yet.
That said, I'm moving to Linux regardless, only my gaming rig is still on a heavily cleaned Windows 11 and the deal is getting worse every day. |
