I am completely new to the concept of sports exchange networks and I don't quite understand the difference between a back bet and a lay bet on a cricket match. Can someone simplify it for me?

Exchange betting can seem a bit intimidating at first glance, but it is actually very logical once you place your first slip. To see a practical breakdown of how the odds work, you should visit site and read the help manuals in the sports section. In short, backing a team means you are wagering that they will win the match, which is just like traditional betting. Laying a team means you are wagering that they will lose or that the match will end in a draw. This system gives you maximum flexibility because you are betting against other real players in real-time, resulting in much fairer market values.

Laying a team to lose completely changes how I can hedge my bets. The explanation makes it much clearer now, thank you.
