The chaps over at

DailyTech ran their X1900XT against their eVGA GeForce 7800GTX 256MB in a few popular game timedemos. The cards were both benchmarked on an Opteron 165 workstation with 2GB of PC-3200.

Oh good fare comparison, not! 512mb card versus a 256mb..... everyone knows that COD2 **benefits** ever so slightly from running a 512mb card over a 256mb Rolling Eyes

Plus of course the *Price* of the ATI over the nVidia is rediculous. for what? just over a dozen fps more! LOL and just how many people play at 1600x1200 these days? Considering most have a maxed out 1280x1024 TFT.
When the figures are around the standard 1280x1024 the ATI is level pegging with nVidia i bet.

I've sat playing FEAR at 1600x1200 with everything on AAx8 AFx16 and it was easily playable, it's only on *certain* levels -as with all games- that it has an fps hit. Of course this is YOU the gamers OWN EYES that are happy with what gameplay is like.

When your compairing 2 cards with only 12 fps or so difference your just pissing in the wind trying to tell the difference on screen.

ATI are flapping!

Talk about pumping it up....
