Fascinating stuff, and there's a lot you can do. Change attack vectors, for instance, sending the enemy over the rooftops rather than through the same door. Have it set traps to lure you into a group. Or deal with one of the silliest conceits in all FPS gaming: the idea that the enemy is only ever ahead of you (so you can run back and get those supplies you need).

I'd like to see AI development take off, finally. Now that FPS games all basically look and play alike, it's the last thing that can be done to differentiate them.
