It's actually a great CPU. The problem is, previous gen is so discounted that the current zen 5 pricing makes it a bad buy, not a bad cpu. At least if you are in the US. I cant find 7800X3D for under 500 eur, even 5800x3d is ~400 eur, so a 340 eur 9700X is a good buy here.
