I will be playing this one on PS3 ;P
Plus, my Linux transition is now complete. My toaster handles it pretty well. Beryl runs pretty impressive.
Vista? Huh? |

Ubuntu Edgy 6.10, the Live CD install. Just put it into the drive, reboot and you're in Ubuntu. You can then install it while running it from CD. It was a piece of cake to install, just be sure you don't have a USB modem and all is auto detected . And with a bit of persistence handling the Console/Terminal commands is a no-brainer; user accounts etc. Plus it has a nice little command called "sudo" with which you don't have to log out and in again as root to make some system changes. Lots and lots of things that make it a lot easier. Not your 1980' Linus Torwalds version. Very user friendly and I love it. Two weeks and i have no intention of going back to Windows ever again.
Beryl is cool. A LOT more settings than Vista plus it looks and behaves much better too. Not to mention the difference in memory consumption. Bugs with nVidia drivers though. If you run out of Video Memory the windows are black. But that is to be fixed in the next nV driver release for Linux. And..it's not too easy to install; kernel interfaces, bootup fixes. Just don't put it into autorun straight away. But once setup it runs perfect. And yes, it's contra-productive.
so, go linux |
