o's Wii console may not have fancy next-generation graphics, but according to preliminary data from market research group NPD, it was the most popular console in North America by a healthy margin last month.
As GamesIndustry.biz reports, NPD's figures say the Wii sold 436,000 units in North America in January,

I don't totally understand what you mean by that. Isn't that what really determines who wins the console war? Because if everyone has one, then it is dominating. Maybe I am issing something...

Everyone I walked into said the Wii was awesome and most everyone I knew found that Wii was way more attractive than Xbox or PS3... obviously cost will determine who will win in terms of sales.
