| Problem with all these online services, I get the game cheaper buying it in the box when I go to the store. I don't really like electronic distribution despite having offers from my ISP and various other sources. I just simply prefer the CD. HL2, instead of continually downloading it every windows re-install, I backed it up to cd and then dump it right back where it belongs.. after 10mins of some interesting downloading through Steam all titles are active again... I hate having to backup the whole game, it's stupid and I don't feel like wasting bandwidth downloading the whole damn thing again...The steam backup is a POS and has never once worked for me. Nothing was more painful that first time trusting Steam backup when I went to put it all back on and it said, backup is corrupted. From that day, I hated and never used their backup system.. |

Here in Belgium digital distribution is almost unusable, because most ISPs have monthly transfert limits, some of those having not moved for the last 5 years
for example, i only have 10Gb/month, up&download included... if i download a game, around 4G, i have 6Gb left... it's like 200Mb per day, ridiculous in our broadband era
so in those conditions, i will never buy something on Steam or whatever else |

yeah, I know lots that have similar disadvantages with their internet. In my neck of the woods, I have completely embarassing upload rates.. 38KB/s... woooT
I'm fighting for more, but the chances of it increasing are like winning a lottery. |
