Capcom has released a batch of new screenshots of
Dead Rising for the Xbox 360. Yum yum! There is one nice looking blond woman that certainly catches the eye. Dead Rising will be bringing zombie killing to the Xbox 360 later in 2006.

Soon I wont even be gaming on Pc. Like this December I might just drop pc like my friends and go Xbox.. clearly the PC is incapable of providing gfx like this without having to fork out a grand on a video card.. Use PC for playing RPG and work. That's my plan.
PC has just become too much of a losing platform to game on.
Should see NHL 2007 on Xbox.. Pfff, pc wont ever come close.. |

I hope thats sarcasm I am reading...?
Crapsoles will never be able to do a FPS like the PC. Things are always dumbed down for the PC. Its just stupid. Oh and the reason that NHL probably doesn't look nearly as good on the PC is because EA knows better than to make a great looking port that requires super high end cards to play on. (especially a sports game!) |

So a wastly more veristile, interchangable platform capable of increadibly more complex tasks and applications which is capable to handle a inteface with more then 10 buttons is obsolete in a gamers sense?
Well, that is one oddball opinion... haha... incapable of providing... You do know consoles render their graphics on wastly smaller resolutions and that their games are custom made for the hardware? AND that their games compromises almost soly in sports games, RPG's and random wierd ass action games with undead people... ?
I do understand that you are tierd of having to get new stuff for you computer every time a new cool and technology hyped game is out, but you can't really belive yourself what you are saying, right?
"Reality is really crappy on rendering water effects, God bless the PS2 for that..." <-- that was the thing I heard.
Either way - I'll stick to me computer and my armada of consoles, one can not be without ones japanese RPG's you know. ^^
And PC vs. console fandom is lame. |

Try upgrading for +20 years.. then tell me PC rules.. PC is a money hole and that's about it. Console is where the original titles go. PC is nothing but a crap hole or repeats, stolen ideas and overused ideas.
My PC will serve business needs and my entertainment needs for RTS and RPG. FPS are dead to me except for maybe DNF.
Crysis.. what's that gonna intro to FPS games huh? Lets see? blowing leaves?! Wohoa! Can't live without that.. Physics? Oh wait, already seen that NOT.. or maybe MP games where people sit and hide in bushes for the whole map? Ya exciting.. Cysis is just another POS shooter with good graphics and ZERO originality in game play. Throw in voice comms and for a solo player like me uninterested in clans or voice.. It's a BORE. A complete and UTTER BORE.
Console is cheaper, got great gfx, maybe not as good as PC but then ORIGINAL titles, things like BOXING come to console.. Not PC. PC's are for kids and those who are new to FPS.. for me, it's all the same trash with a new name. |

I cant wait for crysis, I play farcry all the time and think how much fun it would be if I could tell where people ran by the way bushes move, shoot down some trees or blow up a house some one is hiding in.
Though why does every game have to try some thing new? I don't want new I want more of what I love damnit!
I am extremely easy to please, you know it's actually nice to not see things on a deep level, like the matrix reloaded/revolutions were awesome I just like the action don't even care about the story. Half-Life 2 as well, great game just mindless fun
I've been upgrading for about 12 years now and it is worth every cent. I plan to make a $2000 (CDN) upgrade in 6 or 7 months and it will be money well spent!
They just need to bridge the gap a little more, consoles would benefit from a keyboard and mouse with games that fully support it (like an FPS game) and computers would benefit from games that fully support a controller, I don't see why a boxing game cant come out that requires a controller... |

13+ years of upgrading and counting
Do as you please - I was more focused on your points regarding the tech-savy stuff.
I for one think that every single öre I put into my computers is worth it, as can I say about my consoles, except for the XBOX, which blew - every big title got released for the PC anyways - so much for exclusivness.
As for the original titles, thank the Japanse for their console-huggin, because any innovative thought you will see, will probaly come from Asia as the US developer scene is stagnant by the holds of large publishers and outright fools and idiots for developers who are fueling a market filled with the same crap which spreads equally over all platforms so don't say that it is limited to the PC.
FPS with aliens - wee! Again.
WW2 games...
Sport game itterations... go EA...
I'm not particulary found of FPS's games either but the RTS games and the obvious choices for online games I got for the PC. On the subject of that; If Crysis is the same as Farcry I'm vouching for seppuku, go go Supreme Commander! |

Farcry was too good for most peoples pc's. Unlike you guys, some people and seemingly a lot didn't see the need to throw money at Farcry and it rotted and made it's way to the bargain bin like I said it would when it came out. Now it's 'old' and people don't care. That's why there is a handful of people playing it online that why there's next to nothing out there for it in terms of mods. Farcry is/was overhyped. That's my opinion.
Crysis is the same thing with even better gfx. I for one couldn't care less to buy it same as I couldn't care less for Farcry at the time, play it at medium or low quality, whatever... I don't care for "camper in bushes" game either. I also don't care to fork out a tonne of cash for one game when I can already play most games at high quality with no performance hit. |
