A German buyer says a second-hand AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D locked him out of Valorant the moment he launched it. He bought the chip on Kleinanzeigen, has owned it since September 21, and says the processor itself worked. Valorant had run normally on his previous CPU.
On r/PCBaumeister he wrote that Riot support told him the CPU...

Remember when it was motherboards locked to the OS - WinXP.

So, sue them for damages.
If you buy a car from a criminal, it should not automatically make you a criminal.
If they track hardware, they must also track owner changes, simple as that.
They can't harass people for buying used hardware. |
