Digital Foundryâ??s John Linneman reported that sources indicated Microsoft planned to continue supporting physical game discs on future Xbox hardware.

The priority was backward compatibility â?? ensuring playersâ?? existing disc libraries remain playable â?? rather than retail disc sales.
