A Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU failed with visible swelling on the substrate after the system suddenly shut down with a loud pop while idle in April 2026.

The PC, built in May 2023 with a Gigabyte X670E AORUS MASTER motherboard and no manual overclocking or voltage tweaks, was inspected by Gigabyte รข?? the board passed
