Star Citizen has officially crossed **$1 billion** in total player funding after 14 years of development.

There is over 1000 people working on Star Citizen and Squadron 42, and that 1 billion should be seen in the context of 14 years. 70 million a year is still a bunch of money but not as eyebrow-raising as that 1 billion number feels.
