Despite the ever present room campers, cod 2 is a great game. Surprisingly I ran mp with great settings @ 1024x768 and I think I can crank up a lot more. The sound is great, gfx amazing and the extra things like being able to climb up small things easily like ledges is cool. The game seems awfully well balanced. It's also very polished too. The ingame browser works wonderfully and no settings so far needed me to restart the game. I think COD 2 is the best quality game I've played in a long time. Anyhow, get it, it's real fun! PB is coming for it too! |

My copy is in the post along with Q4, SS2 and FEAR. Its an excellent month for gaming!
How does the regen health work in MP? I would think it would encourage more spraying of bullets and people popping in and out of cover. I'd hate to think CoD has developed into a game of Kiss Chase with bullets and walls.
Being able to jump up ledges was in the original. Whiney sh*tes with nothing better to do got this ripped out of the game so we could have a treacle simulator kick in each time a single jump was performed.
Where is the PB announcement? Seems very quick for a late turnaround.
Not having played it yet I could be wrong but its annoying that advances introduced in UO are now absent from CoD2. Is there anything that is noticably a step backward? Sprinting is pretty essential and I understand is missing.
I loved CoD but got frustrated with its constant tweaking and tinkering in each patch. CoD:UO introduced some more good points to offset the bad ones in CoD and won me over again. My point is that I don't really like IW as a developer. They seem to listen to the whiners while missing out on those with more general concerns. They miss and skip features to justify expansions (hello EA). I don't know, they just come across as a mini EA. |

Ha, sorry, you people need to know that sometimes I only have time in the day for 1 reply. These days really busy. Yes, I still love COD2, though lately I've had to step away because I play on servers that have the spectator view after so many times of seeing the aimbot + wallhack I stopped playing it. I'm waiting on the PB myself. It's coming now in <cough> early 2006. Well at least we know Infinity Ward is not dead. |
