The Ryzen 7 9700X has a low price but does that lead to better performance (especially in gaming) versus the 7800X3D, 7700X and 14700K? And more importantly, is this a good upgrade for someone with a 3700X, 3800X or even 5800X3D?

To me it seems like 5800X3D is the best buy in all scenarios. If you don't have 4090, you will be hard pressed to see any difference between any of these. Especially with something like 6800XT.
