You can tell the games industry is scraping the bottom of the barrel.
The amount of ‘remastered/remakes’ whilst adding very little to the original’s is dreadful. I have the entire Sam & Max catalogue and Back to the future on steam. What on earth a point and click needs re-anything is beyond me.
It’s just to stick ‘4K visuals’ on it and titillate the easily amused and parted with money, crowd. A generation is absolutely dragging game development down the shithole…. Along with it quality and originality.
If they can get away with selling shit, then they’ll keep on selling shit and not moving forwards. Thank generation Z |

The degradation is probably everywhere, with the games we have all been watching together for over 30 years it is well visible and well documented.
When I look around me here in Europe, young people (although I often see that they are talented) are not willing to spend their young years working. They are only willing to work a few hours a day (ideally) and then have fun. No wonder then that everything is so disastrous.
I myself am not able to find a follower in my IT company who would be willing to work and still voluntarily learn, which in this industry means up to 16 hours a day (work+learning). After all, when I was young, I worked more than 16 hours a day But if I were young now, it would probably be the same, everything can be bought, there is more entertainment (games, movies, series, etc.) than a person can consume. I mean, it's not the fault of the young, it's the result of the development of western society. |
