The Xbox 360 is smaller than the original Xbox, and its wireless nature makes it a natural fit in the living room - marking a thankful change from standard gaming consoles of the past. Despite looking like the offspring of an iPod and a DVD player,

it'll work with a LCD but you're probably better off with a CRT. if its works like the original xbox its VGA modes will be limited to the HDTV resolutions (ie. 480p - 640x480, 720p - 1280x720, etc) and if one of those modes is not native to your LCD you're gonna get nasty up/down scaling.
for anyone doubting the original xbox could output VGA. I use this to play on my monitor all the time, after seeing xbox in 480p you'd never go back to an interlaced TV |

There is a new device just available that allow a computer monitor to take advantage of DVI output. The VGA cable on XBOX360 has many issues in the area of color, screen stability, and scaling. This box is called PixelFinder which takes the component (green/blue/red connector) from XBOX360 and output to DVI or VGA for your computer monitor. This device is manufactured by AVI (http://www.transavi.com/MPG099.htm) |
