I think proper gaming performance is more about turning off shit cores than anything else.

If you don't want to turn off shit cores in the BIOS permanently while still wanting to force the game on proper cores, do this:
1. Select the EXE, right click on it and select 'Send to Desktop' from the popup. This will set most things up.
2. Edit the shortcut, keeping only the EXE name and adding this in front:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C START /NORMAL /AFFINITY FFFF

For example:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C START /NORMAL /AFFINITY FFFF Doom.exe

3. Make sure the "Start in" directory is correct (to point to the same dir as where the EXE is) - should be okay if you used "Send to Desktop".

4. Change the icon if you want (so it looks nicer, not the CMD icon).

5. Launch game using this new shortcut from now on.

If the game does not launch, replace /C with /K temporarily and check the error message.

Note:
The FFFF affinity flag is for the first 16 cores (0-15), which is for the P-cores of a 14700 or similar CPU.
You can calculate the CPU affinity flag using this tool (just tick the number of P-cores you have):
