Embracer Group has laid off 97 staff from Eidos Montreal and reportedly canceled a new entry in the Deus Ex series the studio has been developing.

The canceled Deus Ex game has been in development for the past two years and was slated to enter production later in 2024, according to a Bloomberg report by Jason Schrei
