Well, you have to force people to upgrade.
There has not been a real need for years.

IF 3070 is giving 60fps at 1080p WITH DOWNSCALING on PERFORMANCE mode (talking about allan wake 2), 4090 ($1700 GPU) will give you 60 fps @1440p without downscaling. Let that sink in.

There is no upgrade if you want to play @4K @120fps without downscaling of any kind. It doesn't exist.

It's interesting to see the official PC system requirements for Alan Wake 2. The mention of needing graphics cards that support mesh shaders indicates that the game might utilize some advanced rendering techniques, which is exciting for PC gamers looking for a visually impressive experience. Remedy has a history of creating visually stunning games, so it's not entirely surprising that the requirements seem to be on the higher side.

As PC hardware continues to advance, it's good to see game developers pushing the boundaries and taking advantage of the latest technologies. This can lead to more immersive and graphically impressive games like mathler.

For those who may not have the latest hardware, it's a good reminder to keep an eye on system requirements and consider upgrading if necessary to fully enjoy upcoming titles like Alan Wake 2. It will be interesting to see how this game leverages the capabilities of modern GPUs.

Thanks for sharing this information; it's always helpful to stay informed about the technical aspects of upcoming games on uvdown.

do keep ion mind that ALL listed settings have downscaling enabled, no native resolution. Not even on a $1000 rtx4080 @1440p Best card you can have is 4090 and you could do, what, 60 fps without downscaling? Also, keep in mind, better nVidia cards will not be made before 2025 (nvidia made a statement saying they wont be releasing new consumer products, aka 5 series before 2025).
Is it acceptable to have 4080 and be playing at these pitiful framerates at 1080p upscaled to 1440p? Not for me. It's actually insulting.
