I understand, but what do you think happens in practice?
- Buy card A that's older, used, yet performs well.
- Buy card B that's new and you can't play older games on it.
Sorry, I can't see this any other way than producing piles of garbage. |

I don't know why is this so confusing for you. I think you made yourself confused by articles from 2022 when Arc was still new. Arc is being updated all the time. Old games didn't work because drivers didn't have profiles for games. They still don't have them for a lot of games. But all the new games and newer games work fine (from technical standpoint) and get fixed quickly if they don't. I am pretty sure tetris and pacman games work too.
Also it's a $180 card (A580) here is a comparison against more expensive nvidia card
