Well, Winrar won't be leaving anytime soon. It does a much better job at compression and encryption than what Microsoft's built in tools do.

haven't used winRAR in almost a decade, just 7zip. Proprietary .rar archives can go f themselves and disappear.

I always use winrar from the command line...old habit. It's true that I used to use pkzip and then winzip a lot, but I don't know exactly why I stopped using winzip. 7zip is nice too and it's free. Who remembers ARJ? Smile

Thankfully, haven't used command line to unpack a 50kb file in two decades at least. I hate command prompt Very Happy

Took a while, although I care little because I don't use WinDOS 11.
I use Winrar every day.
Scene releases are all RARs.
