Prices will continue to rise as long as there's idiots out there who pay them. Blame Joe Blow for spending over 1K on a card. He's the reason we got high prices.. COVID & Mining only helped them set the prices.

In fact games are exact same reason. Idiots who pay the stupid prices. The investors thank you for your fucking stupidity and desperation.

It's the most divisive it's ever been. When Covid hit all those pensioners and rich tossers sat on tons of interest because they couldn't spend it on holidays every week or new cars, kitchens and general garbage that they buy because it was all shut down.

So you can bet that those buying expensive crap are just bored and haven't a clue about the real world.

You know the saying 'The price of everything, the value of nothing'.

'I go to food banks because my family are starving...' but they'll have umpteen mobile phone contracts, Cable TV/broadband packages, order Uber at least 3 times a week and have 2 or 3 cars on contracts.

Fucking humans.........

You wrote that really well, because there are people like that here too.

They buy expensive computers, new iPhones, games, subscription services (Netflix, etc.), I often see cigarettes and alcohol. Sometimes I have the feeling that they don't work at all or very little (I myself am at work from morning till evening...I go home often at 20:00 - 20:30). But then I hear that they don't have money for anything, how terrible life is Smile

It’s the same everywhere, though. ‘Entitled poverty’.
They’ve grown up with mobiles, cable tv etc as kids so anything that encroaches on that is classed as ‘poverty’. Not about *not affording* the basics like food, clothing, heating and rent. But rather keeping them in the lifestyle that they’ve become accustomed to.
Here’s an interesting fact.
You know Kiwi, that makes shoe polish? -for like an eon- Well it has decided that it’s not worth continuing it. Due to the reason that today, adults walk about in white training shoes with no socks on - even if it’s snowing/raining. They no longer wear leather shoes so it’s a massive decline. Same will no doubt happen with socks, just like landlines declined with mobiles. It’s amazing how much of a polarising effect they have now.
At my work there’s a 40 something guy with a kid and wife. I said do you want a loan of a music cd from Foreigner? Turns out they have absolutely no means of playing a CD-ROM in their house! No Hi-Fi, dvd player Blu-ray player no nothing. Everything is streamed and connected to the internet
People, in general, have just become so selfish.
