It's not just the lack of optimization.
It's that they are in cahoots with the GPU vendors.

The PS5 only has 16 GB unified RAM capacity, but the reason it can get away with it is because of its internal storage speed/textures streaming IO capabilities.

Which brings me to the question... Is Forspoken utilizing DirectStorage?

Initially I thought not, but after a quick Google search I found out that it apparently does...

I would have thought this would be enough to bring down the RAM requirement for computers using an NVMe. Weird Rolling Eyes
