NVIDIA has decided to cancel the November 2022 launch of the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB. The company will relaunch the card under a different name, though it didn't announce the replacement name just yet. The naming of the RTX 4080 12 GB was cause for much controversy. They tried their luck, didn't pass, vendors probably played their role too, EVGA certainly, I'm glad we're not full hostages of these suckers ... yet ...
Also, imagine the balls that it takes to do this while the whole market is overflooded with new GPUs. I just hope that AMD fully capitalizes on this and since they are smart mofos, they certainly will |

Well, I guess marketing thought it's going to be the 'usual' so they copy pasted everything from the last iteration.
They must have missed the memo on it using a different chip entirely.
Shit happens.
