Just wanted to say that I also loved POSTAL 2 back in the day.
I last played No Regerts back in July 2020, and I agree completely with your feelings about the game. Age and maturity definitely has a lot to do with it, and over time the less sophisticated humour loses its hook. The nostalgia buzz was there in a smallish dose, but the thrill was not.
The GTA series kinda took over in that department for me, but even that game series felt too limiting with how NPCs react in annoyingly predictable ways (aside from maybe the occasionally funny quips). It hasn't changed much since GTA 3, and the only reactions of value are scripted events. |
