Cycu1 shared an early graphics comparison video between this remake and its original version. In this video, we get to see a comparison between two weapons. These sequences compare the newly improved audio samples and the weapon animations. Then, at 2:31, we get to see a better comparison between identical scenes.

Honestly? It’s not exactly making me go wow! I actually like the darker moody originals - well 1 and 2. The weapons (its early I know) are crap in the remake. I was expecting more plasma electrical effects and firing the gun, ricochets, sparks and tracer would be the order of the day. Shooting legs off with the plasma cutter I was wanting this rippling beam of energy coursing it’s way to the creature and slicing through first time. Instead we get the original 2-3 shots before a leg/limb or body cuts in half. Yeah we upgrade them with nodes but still. These creatures are the basic undead crew ones. When we get the bat and the ones carrying explosive pod bags and giganticus. Then I expect better fire power needed to dice them.
