The footprint of 472.12 is ~1880MB - and it's supposedly includes "fat".
The footprint of 496.13 is ~ 2097MB.
So, what exactly do you mean by trimming?
Add another 217MB of crap?

Microsoft App Store is yet another piece of MS poison that the world did not need. It is disabled as a whole on most systems I know (private and corporate alike).
Besides, what you said is complete bullshit, nvwdmcpl.exe is still there in the package; just extract the installer and see for yourself.
Almost all files are there in both 472.12 and 496.13.
Under Display.Driver, 472.12 has two additional files: nvndi.inf (0.16MB) nvcbl64.dl_ (0.4MB).
Under Display.Driver, 496.13 has two additional files libnvoptix.so.1 (191MB) and nvdxdlkernels.dll (36MB).
There are some additional differences in Camera and Physx but not in the driver.
I installed 496.13, rebooted and Control Panel is still there.
So. Get your fact straight before you post crap.
