Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone may be free to play, and EA are already planning a new Battlefield game in 2023 if comments from Q2 are to be believed

None of this comes as a surprise. The BR mode for BF5 was released for free - BR is not the reason why people play the game and EA knows too well. BF games have always been released in 2y cycles, no surprise there either.
