Of course it does.
What did you expect?
A much bigger disappointment is the power need though - and even if these chips were cheaper, you will pay for a hefty electricity bill (not just for the CPU but also air conditioning).
You did see that in some benchmarks it's slower than the i7-10700K, right?

It looses to 10700K... obviously the platform is either complete waste of time or not optimized yet (it will still be a waste of time, wait for Tock...)
@csimbi: My miner with 8 cards runing 24/7 adds 50 eur per month to electricity bill. Don't panic over nothing yes, you will pay 1 eur more/month for electricity compared to ryzen counterpart. It's not like you will use max possible power 24/7. Most games will run under 70W (from CPU) or less.
Cinebench run is done in a minute so, that's hardly going to show on your monthly electricity bill.
Be real. That CPU has much bigger problems than power usage. |
