| There's still going to be a OFP2. Armed Assault is just an engine upgrade. |

Pls grab sum facts before posting this on main news.....
Armed Assault (www.armedassault.com) is a standalone game made by BIS. Basically its Flashpoint Resistance with enhanced graphics and one new island.
IT IS NOT Flashpoint 2 related in any way besides that BIS is making both of them.
Flashpoint 2 will probably not even be the name of erhh flashpoint 2 due to the fact that Codemasters owns that name and is not going to be the publisher. |

| This is good news, as I was really disappointed with the implication that they were moving OFP2 into a modern setting. A large part of the first game's charm for me was the Cold War setting, as that's when I joined and served in the military. I found it strangely nostaglic, playing a game where the weapons and equipment were all stuff I trained with and learned to fight against. I hope they've decided to keep OFP2 in that time setting. |
