ed to see if the staircase had spawned in the right place - if it did, he kept the save, and if it didn't, he reloaded. The most impressive parts of the run are the ones where he gets item drops (levels 3 to 5, 9 to 10) because he almost certainly had to redo each of those segments at least a few hundred, if not a few
