| If Netflix does that they will recede back in terms of customers. Be funny since they just said they are spread now around the world. Let's face it, most people are getting Netflix for the USA content. Nobody gives a fuck about copyright/borders and people at least in Amerca have been extremely vocal about tearing those ancient borders down. If Netflix is giving up that fight, then I'll give up my membership as I am sure many others will do. |

| They're working to provide most content globally as well, but that seems to be left out in most reports. I guess it doesnt sell pageviews. |

Its not enough or likely not enough to satisfy. Anything about it is vague as well. If Netflix does start killing VPN connectiosn, mark my words. Most will quit Netflix. |

Yeah go ahead and treat your customer base like idiots because they try to circumvent your by-gone era REGION LOCKING BS! Most people do not want to be forced to watch content tided to their location: this has been the case for DECADES! Get with the facking times: we're a global village now seperated by milliseconds! Of course I don't remotely fault the common user to try to extend their purchasing dollar any way possible when they feel like their in a digital prison. Sorry, that genie is out of the bottle quite some time ago.
Yer just escalating a situation you helped create that you will now lose if you try to then curtail it. You built your Frankenstein monster, now learn to live with it or perish!
Nevertheless, Netflix and its ilk are wayy too slow for me: I use hosting sites that carry content faster, cheaper, and with farrrr greater global reach then any service could ever. |
