ELEX is described as the most ambitious project for Piranha Bytes and Nordic Games to date, and is scheduled for an early 2017 release.

I used to look forward to their games until the last two disappointments. I am not expecting this to have anything improved over the last two.
Risen 2 was one of the worst RPG disappointments I have ever played, followed by Risen 3 which is even worse, with Risen (1) being the first and best out of all three from that series and still not as good as any of the Gothic games, except maybe for Gothic 3 (by JoWood) which felt bland and boring to me.
