> The Witness is an intriguing adventure game which bears some slight similarities to Myst, in that you traverse a mysterious island solving puzzles as you go, but like Braid the game is simultaneously teaching you the rules of its world.

Not "slight similarities", that is exactly the same as Myst. The game will very likely fail as the Myst games eventually did. Cyan Worlds spent years slowly bleeding money until they collapsed as the console generation generally don't like puzzle games and they didn't have enough fans of the genre on the PC.

In an interview one of the ex-Cyan guys (might even have been Rand Miller) admitted that they couldn't get funding for Obduction for the same reason which is why they resorted to Kicstarter. I am genuinely surprised that they met their Kickstarter goal as other than myself not one single person I know likes their games. Shame really.
