Hi, which driver did you try, the 13.4 or the beta 13.5? What GPU do you have? |

Drivers have always been the problem 99% of the time with all the graphics cards I've owned. ATI despite putting out quality cards always seems a bit worse for wear compared to nvidia's driver team. Nvidia cards aren't lasting that long for me though beyond a couple years. Plan on baking 465 and 460. The 8800 gtxs I had worked for awhile after this and the 7800 512mb cards lasted longer without resorting to these half baked measures. |

Have had my 560 for a couple years now without any driver issues. I only upgrade for the "why not factor". Up and until recently I was still running beta's from 3 releases ago or more. When I upgrade to the newest WHQL I haven't noticed really any difference other than the nvidia control panel which seems to load faster.
ATI card that had a short period in my HTPC was returned. The driver stunk and the card stunk. Never had so many problems with the hdmi interface. Missing sound, choppy video performance playing 1080p ripped movies. Switched to a generic 550 and has never been a problem since installed and that's running on Vista... lol. |
