I dont think the fps hit is caused by the textures. Sikkmod has some options that causes major hit in performance. Maybe they are activated to make the screens look even better.
I'm already using the Wulfen original pack and the bump mapping with parallax causes lots of bugs and graphical glitches. I think this version would not be the exception. Every parallax mod mapping I've encountered caused bugs. I know that in some places looks awesome, but is awful to encounter broken graphics just for some others can look better, so I prefer to stick with traditional bump mapping. |
