Duke Nukem 3D Reloaded, an Unreal-powered remake of Duke Nukem 3D, is on hold following what sounds like a dispute between the mod makers and Gearbox.

We are around 90% finished with the current Multiplayer version--but you have to remember, that we don\'t own the game. It\'s done under a signed license with Gearbox

I did not see this mod yet, but if it's any good, it will beat the crap out of their new title, so I bet Gearbox will try to stop this. If they do, just change the name from Duke Nuk'em to Duke Nuked'em and you're done.

gearbox allready has give permission to make non-commercial project so did they get greedy and try to get money out of it ?

Gearbox should be sued for making them believe they can make this mod, then after all of the work and waiting until it's 90% done, Gearbox changing their mind. That's bullshit.

Not a whole lot of facts on the actual reason why they've put it on hold...

conflict of interest, and or compensation come to mind... both pretty much out of their control due to license crap.
