A new Battleblog entry was posted on the Battlefield Blog today talking about multiplayer modes. All 9 maps that Battlefield 3 ships with will be playable on 5 game modes - squad deathmatch, team deathmatch, rush, squad rush and conquest.

Wow, that's actually pretty disappointing.

The only 64 player mode is conquest? I guess I should feel lucky since that's my favorite mode anyways, but damn... 64 player deatchmatch or rush would've been fun to try as well. They were so willing to let us think 64 players on PC meant every mode.

I don't know if I can even preorder this now.

When in arma 3 supposed to come out?

Dude, Arma and BF is totally different type of games... the one is aiming at "simulator gameplay", which sounds pathetically funny, the other is Arcade experience... so, no comparison here dude.

But, if you come to think about it there is no point in having 64 players in the other modes... they are just other type of gameplay

And, i personally believe that it will be possible ot set the number to 64 on the other modes - it will be admin controlet setting. I hope so

Yeah, didn't mean to leave the impression I thought they were the same, I'm just starting to think I might leave BF3 for the PS3 to play with real life friends and get arma for the PC, something like that.

I like both styles of play.
