I'd feel more confident about the game if narrator didn't have a speech impairment of sorts...

The narrator is the same as in the Majesty games. I happen to like his voice.

I hate people that do bad impersonations of Sean Connery's voice. Don't tell me that it isn't obvious to you?

I do not think he is trying to impersonate Sean Connery. The first Majesty game came out long ago, and he had the exact same voice (well, he got a bit older by now).
But, I would not care if the impersonation was intentional; I like his voice regardless.
