Fear 2 did the same thing, and looked how well that turned out i'm kidding, no i'm not... but maybe
FEAR1 was a good PC game, that really needed an improved 2nd version and instead got well.. Fear2 which wasn't really an improvement, just a little different and it did have mech's. I believe I silently muttered to myself consoletardation.
Mass Effect 3 is obviously looking like the same sort of deal, only its always being a console orientated game from the start. Things like open planet landscapes to explore that existed in the first version, obviously too Much Effort and current generation consoles don't really have it in them to support that direction of improved gameplay experience (I mean with an actual improvement over how they were done in the first version), and all round greatness. So give them mech's... that looks kool and very original, and they're just small and slow enough to fit inside the levels and act as new gameplay mechanic.. not at all a bit of cop out, now you can send hordes of baddies to get mowed down. fun weeee |
