In any case, I am not having this argument again. It's in vain anyway. I am glad you are playing on your PC as well. I bet your PC sucks and most games run at 30fps, that's why you THINK there's no difference. Go get yourself some decent hardware man.

Like who gives a fucking shit. My car tops out at 115mph yet we all go to work at the same speed.. No one winds down the window and draws alongside and says 'my car is faster than you....'
Neither do i sit playing a game watching to see if i'm getting a steady 60fps or feel insecure when it flickers UNDER 60fps, like i'm more interested in the FUCKING GAMEPLAY!! Who sits watching fraps and talks numbers is just fucking annaly sad, period

Wow... A guy needs some pretty solid cover from all the explosions here.

Why the hell are you people arguing about platforms? That is pointless. So is the FPS talk. In case anyone noticed, the PC platform is getting less games than consoles or getting them later, often being piss poor ports. Maybe one of the reasons is that people who are extremists when it comes to PC are raging all over the developers' forums.

When it comes to gaming, one should not limit themselves to one platform. I enjoy playing on a friend's PS3, because of the wide range of co-op and fighting games. I'd sure love to own a Wii for the Resident Evil titles that will most likely never be on PC. So stop bitching and try to enjoy the diversity around you.

@Stumpus - that's achieved through interpolation, so it's not the real thing, but w/e.

I have a TV capable of 600fps. That means it has a 'buffer' of sorts that takes an input =PC,console, live tv, films etc etc. and transposes the fps into a VERY smooth and unbelievable frame rate BETTER than the input, with no lag or stutter. I can assure you that 'Game mode' is like nothing witnessed. No shitty dropped frames as everything is buffered as smooth as glass.
That means no lag in responce time in displaying images during high speed gaming -600Hz is FUCKING fast!!!! Faster than PC monitors or LCD.
Of course if your high performance PC drops frames -like they all do- it wont buffer out a dramatic loss, but the PC is a factor about all things hardware and nothing runs at the same rate, so it's a subjective statement.
PCs still drop under 60fps even when games aren't capped -either that or a multitude of other permutations have to be pissed about with to maintain the 'golden' number -resolutions,AA/AF,progs running and so forth.
The consoles have been around through several version of windows, so therefore outlived the PC financialy, when folks don't buy games for it then it's time to move to the next generation -which is next year or there abouts? 3D gaming on a console is fucking piss sharp and incredibly good -for no hardware upgrade or cost. Oh i have the TV as the operative word is 'tv', i watch 3D tv and films on it as well as gaming.
30/60fps is nothing more than subjective bullshit, it's about OPTIMISATION. If it's smooooooth then that's what it's about. Then again, throw it through a tv such as mine at 600Hz -600fps and it's no shit sherlock. Cool
