Here it is folks, courtesy of graf_chokolo and Geoffrey Levand comes the PS3 Dual Boot GameOS / Linux Custom Firmware (CFW) which allows users to dual boot on both the GameOS and OtherOS (Linux)

Glad to see this option is finally back for the researchers who put together PS3 render farms...
I'd love to see some benchmarks if/when they finally integrate the GPU into their processing model (since it's now unlocked with this), because it should be obvious they'd get a boost. |

Hm, dunno what benchmarks may reveal. But a stdPCbench for sure will lower your expectations.
To me this hardware is a little bit outdated, with no chance against actual hardware beginning in the mid-range. Farms ok, thats another plan.

If they don't try (or won't have success) I'll call myself Chick. Since you have to change the vflash, what normally should be able to be detected by the HV. |
