I was going to say.. oh pay and rape? Oh where is the hidden agenda by Sony, surely they must be raping something else off the box.
I don't like Sony anymore bud. I'd be playing on a Xbox 360 if I could. Since Sony removed the OtherOS option, I couldn't give a shit if a maniac walked into their offices and shot them all. They removed a feature I was heavily using. And when did I EVER say they were GOD? Go rattle Renton or Koogle's cage troll boy. |

Well if you don't like SONY any more, I'd say you are in the right path.
See, it's not nice when people troll back at you, heh? |

I don't troll. I don't have time to troll. You clearly missed my rage at Sony a few weeks ago. I tell everyone now to get a Wii or a Xbox 360. |

Well, you do troll against the PC and from my point of view, you are too unfair doing so. In any case, although I generally hate consoles, Wii is out of the hate bubble. I mean this little machine is pure fun. You cann't hate that. I think I will actually get one! |

| Well I only speak from 20+ years gaming experience literally all behind a PC. I mean gee...It's not my fault people can't accept the platform is dying. Do you think denying it's dying is somehow going to save it?? I honestly believe it will only get worse on PC. I don't understand why Nvidia and ATI bother with PC at all and not just come out with their own gaming consoles. I heard a rumor a year or so ago that Nvidia was entering the console arena but I have not seen any further tech articles about it. I don't think I am trolling PC articles either, they are just there and I comment on them. |

The thing that really gets me here is that the PS3 is capable of playing 3D blu-ray discs with just a firmware update, yet the corps are pushing brand new 3D players to complement your brand new 3D TV with all your other brand new shit that was fine up until some genius invented the new craze and told us what to want and like.
Also, Tom, look inside an Xbox360 or PS3... whose name do you see in there? The GPU makers are better off doing exactly that, without needing to compete with products they already have a healthy stake in. |

| Quote: | | Sony announced in Japan that Firmware 3.20 for Playstation 3, which supports the option of going 3D, will release on June 10. |
At 22/04/2010 SONY released version 3.30, so I find it extremely difficult to believe that they will downgrade our system software to 3.20 ...
I read the source "andriasang" article, and nowhere (am I that blind?) says the version of the new system software. Remove the "3.20" from the article. It looks stupid.
And just because one stupid greedy developer (that's IDOLMINDS) sells the 3D update, it doesn't mean that all the 3D updates will be asking for money. The 2 other games (from that group) will have the 3D updates for free. It seams logical to believe that 3D updates will be free for almost all the games.
Hell, if a developer asks money for the 3D update, they need to be totally ignored. For all their gamers. |

They actually do. ATi is inside the 360 and Wii and nVIDIA in the PS3. The only customs GPU/CPU are the ones on DS and PSP.
About the trolling and the PC dying issues... who cares, man!? If tomorow ATi, nVIDIA, Intel, AMD, Corsair, G.Skill, ASUS, XFX and a lot of other companies suddenly decides not to make any more gaming hardware and the developers decide not to make any more games for the PC that is going to be the day the platform dies. No mather how many guys out there are convinced that it is dying or dead... that BS is out as long as I can remember and we are still here. We still love and support the PC. I have several recent great games purchased via Steam that I still havent the time to enjoy them and I mean a lot. When there is no more games out there. When there is no more gaming hardware out there. That will be the day the platform dies. Until that day doesnt mather how many guys like you are out there and if that day comes I not going to die in sorrow, I will buy a console or whatever the fuck is out there for electronic entertaining and I think is not going to be a crappy console or a bizillion dolars PC, is going to be something else. Just take a look at the actual consoles... they are more like than a PC than a classic consoles.
PS: Sorry for my bad english.
Cheers. |

Cheers. | it's always been the case and the games are optimised.for them Lastly it as in its hardware, has a shelf life. There is a lot of rich company execs who , make easy money off the forced pc annual hardware upgrade cycle. I've spent thousands over near 20 years of pc gaming hardware and it's all redundant junk. i could have bought a car and a half and it would have done more and i could have sold it! I even have my megadrive cd and games which still works. The PC is scattered to the four winds and just so dysfunctional.

A guy with your experience should be more optimistic about the PC. I've been around since the Amstrad CPC 6128, having gamed on many gaming systems and I have to say that the PC is by far the best. It always have been after the coming of the first VGAs. Yes it is more expensive, but it brings other goodies along. It is a constantly developing platform and I love that. Consoles are still like a mud pit and come with graphics that suit this mud pit.
PS I was just enjoying the demo of Alien Breed Impact and instantly preordered it.

The good thing is that it's coming on the PS3 as well. I hope this one at least, comes in glorious 1080P. |

Dude, it's your problem if you regret your gaming years with the PC. When you are a gamer, you spend money. End of story. If you don't like that, get a mountain bike and hit the mountains! |

That is not entirely truth. First of all, it's a lie that everyone is "forced" to update they hard every year. My last machine before I move to a 775 last me about 4 years and in the meantime I only expands the amount of memory and have two VGAs. With my actual PC I been using the HD4850 since it cames out two years ago and I still can play almost everything of the new games in 1920x1200, 2xAA 16xAF with all the details maxed out in an average 45 fps. Other games I need to disable the SAO variations and works OK. I still not going to change the platform cause I dont see the point yet.
About the regret... wtf man? If you like somethng, you spend on it. Doesnt mather if is hardware, audio, car audio, tuning, books, music, video or faberge eggs.
If you regret been a gamer or regret once think you like the PC is your problem. I love to spend money in my PC. Maybe I make the hardware live longer and do not change my VGA or CPU a lot because here the prices are like 50% higher that the ones in USA, but I like modding a lot and I always doing something.
