Much like Assassin\'s Creed before it, Ubisoft\'s latest PC
release has been leaked to Torrent websites. The
leak is a complete DVD image of the game, sourced from the Russian
release of the game. It will likely not be long before an English
version appears. Of course, there is
still no crack to pass the new DRM s

I'll do the same thing I did with the original Assassins Creed.. not bother with the game at all Smile

*Game can now be continued from the exact same point when connection is restored*

...jeesh you'd think that would be the first thing they'd fucking get right, what with their retarded drm implemented garbage.

I really like the saga and just like the first I was going to buy it (and crack it, as I do with all my Retail Games), but after this bullshit, I'll play the pirated version and the same goes for all the other games that implement this stupid fucked up DRM. If they go backwards with it, I'll grab an original copy.

Laughing

Assassins Creed is a great game as was the second one. I played the first one on PC. Cracked and then bought the game for $19.99 used. Unlike some ass hair crack people on this site, I am an honest person and I'll pay for quality titles. I finished it a second time because it was definitely worth the money and I missed some things the first time around. II, I bought it on console. After playing first one on PC I felt it was more console anyhow. Didn't have to bother with the PC rubbish for II.

Both were excellent games, so you screwed yourself out of fun titles.

Buying games second hand may be a legitimate thing to do, but it does not support the developers. Because they don't make any new money from the same games circulating around the market. I don't know if you realise that Tom? Just pointing it out.

Btw, who screwed themselves out of fun titles? Perhaps these 'people' were not interested in AC, even if it were free. Wink

"pieces of crap" that you are clearly keen to play. Interesting.

So will you buy a Ubisoft game again in future if they drop the DRM?

Dude, english is no my native language but god damn it - i understand what i read in this language.
I dont know about you but, please - read carefully!

I dont mind the game, ill buy it if it was without this stupid DRM shit... that requires non-stop connection to the net...
So, i sayd it before and i say it now - i wont support the developers for such idiotic things...
They lont stop hacking, they only loose clients - thats it!

I can understand DRM would be a problem for you considering you obviously are technology challenged since you can't even add an english spell check or grammar checker plugin for your browser. Shocked Bad english or not, there are tools out there to help you fix it.

Yes, nb411 actually I know that buying the game used doesn't really go back to the those who made it. My logic at the time was, 'Wow cool, cheapest I seen it!'. At the time I just didn't want to pay $50 for something I already finished. You are right, I'lI correct my logic next time. Wink

To get back to topic I'll give a "short" statement too.
I'm not sure if buying these titles support the developers.
As far as I know, most titles are produced in studios that are paid an agreed amount of money from some publisher, as ubisoft is in this case.
And the publishers most of the time have to deal with the earnings of the title, or not. So... perhaps the studios get less money, if the publishers got a weak advantage. But for sure they don't 'suffer' because of piracy that much than publishers.
And for the DRM, for me it is like handling potentially legal customers as near-criminal (conclusion: every gamer is a suspect person). I buy original games, when they around 10,15 or $20, select case u know ;) But for sure I won't buy a brand-new game, with a better DRM than storyline. The last statement doesn't aims on the AC titles, but the DRM is definitly a reason NOT to buy AC2, but play it as pirated version. Just to show opposition.

heh Smile

I just feel sorry for the unpaid crackers, what a fucking chore, reverse engineering some paid idiots idea of protection. When you think about it (and it shouldn't take much thinking at all to see what its doing) this is just a big waste, nothing meaningful and productive is really been done to improve fucking anything with DRM and security protections schemes. And yet all major companies are involved in it, coming with out even more retarded security 'features' all the time. Humanity is being lead by the greedy fucking stupid deadshits tbh.

And the developers probably don't see a lot of return in sales for many factors, even more so new developers starting out who have to goto the big publishers and distributes all because of how customers have allowed this shaping of the market to fall into the hands of a few overgrown entities.
