Ain't there a feature to request a cash-back for the users that had the console bricked by these lousy updates ?
Also, perhaps Sony doesn't have the knowledge, but moving data to another system and thereby deleting it on the original system is not called COPY, that's called MOVE. |

Erm, never 'bricked' my PS3 with any of those updates? like i've updated every firmware released too.
No it is called COPY, since it's files that you don't technicaly OWN, ie some DLC etc, etc.
Read section 5:
| Quote: | | 5.If content that was downloaded from PlayStation Store was transferred as part of this operation, you must activate PS3 (B) before you can use the data. Log in to the PS3 system as the user who owns the content, and then select (PlayStation Network) > (Account Management) > (System Activation) to activate the system. |

| I just got a PS3 slim last week as part of a promo deal on my TV. It's good fun so far. I need to learn more about all the things you can do with them. Definitely far more like a computer than a typical old games machine. |

Have fun with it nb,
...only until you find out that it locks up completely like 5 times on average during your gaming sessions. (And no, it's not an overheating issue |

| Never had any problems with my ps3 locking up. My ps3 is literally on all day, streaming music and video and every day kids are gaming on it without issue. Must be just you. |

| The lockup issues are gaming specific and appear on all versions, there are no known problems with music or video. Just try to play for 5 hours any of the latest greatest titles to find out you're just one of us all. |

Yeah Ozieo, it's you. Where do you keep your PS3? under clothes! Realy, change the HDD if you have lots of lock-ups, it sounds like it may be on the way out. But don't go tarring all PS3's with a resounding "they all lock up 5 times during gaming".
As for playing for 5hrs, how about at least 10hr session each day on a sat & sun. Man, when i bought GTA4, i played over 12hrs at weekends!! I'm playing Madden and FIFA right now which is infinite gameplay. When people had lock-ups with Uncharted 1 after one update, i NEVER had any probs with ANY titles.
It's either a fan issue or your HDD is on the way out, or at worse a failing PS3? It does happen with ANY electrical hardware. Get a can of compressed air and blow it through the vents and see if it shifts and fluff/muck |
