to Obama Plan:
Well, I'm Czech as well .. but I would really like to see if Obama is able to finance his health-care plan only by savings in the existing system ..
On the bases of info that I have, such plan would cost billions of dollars in the years ahead,
the billions of dollars US government does not have, and in my opinion it is clear that it would led to massive increase
in (already huge) budget deficit (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8148875.stm )
(even if there were some savings and optimalizations too).
In my opinion it is one of the reasons why such bill or reform cannot pass through Congress (according to my information even some Democrats are against .. or at least there were some of them).
I agree that there is probably a need for a reform is US (and also in Czech Republic), but maybe a less ambitious one which has chances to pass and realize.
Well, problem is, that such ambitious health care systems, where everyone is entitled for health-care and for minimum or ("no") money,
are inherently "ill" (from economic point of view, i.e. very deficit and costly ones). As far as I know no ideal healt-care solution has been so far invented - nowhere in the world. And probably never will. |

Billions? Try a trillion or two. It's funny how he makes the argument that to get out of debt, we need to go more into debt....
I guess this is what happens when you put a lawyer in charge of money. |
