Ubisoft today announced that Silent Hunter 5 (PC) is indeed in development and will ship to stores in the first quarter of 2010.
Silent Hunter 5 key features:

Here's hoping it goes back to SH3 mega action roots.
SH4 was soooooooo boring having to spend tedious amounts of time in acceleration mode, x 1024 lol, just to get to your patrol zone. The 'walk about sub' was a request that folks made because the interiors were so detailed. Clicking the mouse on red highlighted hatches (SH4) and being transported into areas didn't quite cut it! There was a weird cheat in SH4 where you could 'ghostly float' about the main internal area -pretty useless. |
