A few days ago I posted a news about the PC version of Ghostbusters not having any sort of multiplayer component. Now Atari has responded via Big Download admitting that consoles were their focus and they put more of their resources into those which ultimately led to no multiplayer on PC:

What a pile of crap! If they do some product why the hell hey don't do it complete!?

They could delay the PC version instead of bringing an incomplete one. Shure i'm going to "buy" this game.

Do you guys toke a look to the recomend system requirements? GTX260, E8400... WTF!?

LOL! console was the focus not PC. PC wont bring in the coin console does bud. At least the guy isn't bsing you. He said, lack of resources and funding for the PC. Maybe if more people buy it rather than pirate it on PC maybe you'll see a mp addon.

the fact that this game is a typical console title had probably much more to do with the missing pc mp then the pirating.
the mp is actually the only thing that could bring a pc user to buy the game since it can be controlled by copy protection.
besides the xbox has benn cracked within a year or soo after the release?

Purely your opinion of course but most people wont spend their time with a cracked xbox. Not to mention being indefinitely banned if caught = pretty stupid to hack your console or use pirated games. Not to mention zero support. Not everyone buys games on PC because it has MP. I buy lots of games I couldn't care less about MP. PC and protection do not equate tub0rg. What game has ever been protected on PC and not broken.

you obviosly didnt get my point.

the only thing that can be controlled via cdkeys and or online registration would have been the mp for the pc version. anything short of that will be cracked. so no mp no reason to buy the pc version.

the hundredts of shops seeling xbox360s with mod chips i guess proves that "most" people like to play backup copies.
i for one wouldnt buy a console i couldnt buy i mod chip for. even if its only to backup my own bought games. i actually believe the fact that the 360 has been cracked so long helps selling it. if i would have to choose between two identical consoles (just for the sake of argument) one with a working mod chip, one with out, i would buy the one with a working mod chip.

Very badly written game. I had the misfortune to see it and play it first hand, since a matthew of mine bought it.

I run it on my PC with a [email protected] and an ATI 4870x2! I got 45fps at the first scene! And that's a 45 fps inside a room with minimal textures and polygons. This is inexcusable for a system that can do Crysis High 1920X1080@60fps.

Ok, i know what you are thinking. Driver problem. Well, i disabled one core and the situation remains the same. There is no way that a single rv770 cannot run this stupid game with more than 100fps. I mean seriously. Even the 4770 i have benchmarked, can run an open level of Unreal Tournament at 85fps on 1080P!

There are also some hidden options that can be found in the .ini file in c:\users\username\blah blah. There is a SSAO option with a 0 value, that is nowhere to be found ingame. When you use SSAO=1 the game runs at 20fps! That's a f4cking LOL situation!

There is also a very interesting render option that has some dx8.dll filename. I don't recall exactly the filename, because i am not home at the moment, but you can clearly see it. It says DX8! LOL

Anyway, it is obvious that they have done a very cheap and hasty job. PC users, DONT BUY THIS GAME!

Hey I just downloaded the game, call it a preview for my future ps3 purchase but I like it on PC. It's fun, it's funny and the gfx are very decent. I like how they did it really. It's kinda like you are in the movie. You can upgrade your proton packs with money you earn catching the ghosts. Catching the ghosts is not easy either and here you feel the same kinda excitement you get from watching the movies. I love how they did the hair, kinda looks real. The game installed nearly max on install so I topped it off with all high settings. Runs smooth as silk for me. No hiccups. There's money in this game, it's unfortunate for pc there is no mp but if you want something fun I think it's worth it. I think the important part is that it should be fun to play and it is.
